Is it worth upgrading from v8.11 to v8.19? I read some old post and it seems like some people had some trouble. Is there anything to gain by going to v8.19? Will it make it louder or is it already as loud as it gets with the v8.11?
Just read last night to go back to v8.9 for the least amount of problems and the loudest radio. Apparently newer versions turned down the radio sound output.
I've been talking to Pez about this very issue this week. I had been running v8.19 and he suggested I go "back" to v8.9 or v8.11 for increased volume. I tried both and will be "upgrading" back to v8.19 now. I didn't seem to gain any volume and there was more bass distortion in my opinion with the older versions of the software.
I have the harley amp under the tourpak and upgraded J&M speakers.. I'm not saying it's loud, but the guy 5 bikes back goes on the CB & keeps telling me to change the song that's playing
tried the upgrade to 8.19, but had some problems with radio cutting out every 20-25 seconds.. went back down to 8.9.
did incremental upgrades, and am now back to 8.19 without any problems.. no difference in volume level.(the Harley MP3 player plays a bit lower than the CD or FM, but that's due to thevolume setting when the songs were ripped from CD)
apparently by jumping from 8.9 to 8.19, I skipped something in the software.
I also did the 1X burn rate the second time around.. maybe that made the difference.
