Rear wheel is a long way from the shift lever, wonder if he screwed something up and had to do a quick CYA repair requiring removal of the primary. Drive belts are tough, but they wont take a sharp twist.
I'm telling you guys the Wrench at the dealer was thinking that the IDS went into the primary. He took offthe shift leverand footboard and primary cover and possibly more. Thenhe unboxed the IDS andlooked at all the parts and realized he Fu**ed up. This is why the shift lever is in the wrong position from where it originally was. The wrench thought the IDSwas some sort of replacement compensator that went inside the Primary and hetore down the primarybefore he unboxed the Parts.
Another Dumb *** Stealer Tech. LOL!!!!!!!!!!!

I swear the first Service Mgr. I mentioned it toback in August called it a cushioned compensator.
He then said he didn't think it would help any of the transmission clatter sounds and didn't know how the rubber cuchions would hold up inside the primary with the heat and primary fluid. When I tried to tell himit went on the rear wheel and replaced the oem belt pulley he justargued with me about the fact it was a rear wheel belt sprocket. I ended up giving up and just walked away.
You wonder why all my bikes never see the inside of a Dealership after the originalpurchase.
I'm telling ya: That their shifter was in a different position because the mechanic pulled the primary cover.

I hear ya man. Its kinda scary. There is more information here than you could ever get at a dealership. Those guys must not ride, if they did you would think they would be interested enough to learn something.
