Default heated gloves?

As the temperatures start to slide downward, I am curious if anyone has any comments on using heated gloves. I rode the other morning (43 degrees) and was convertible with my heavy HD gloves; but doubt the same gloves will stand up if the temperatures are running in the 20-30s. I checked the HD website and discovered heated gloves are not cheap. Therefore, if I am going to go in debt that much, I have a couple of questions for the group.

1) does anyone recommend the HD heated gloves, or others?
2) exactly how in the harness wired to the bike?

Appreciate any insight that is offered. Semper Fi.

forget harley gloves, GO with Gerbings or Widder, your local BMW dealer should carry them, for you to look at, Or you can buy directly from them,

I have the heated gloves, jacket liner, pants liner, and socks, along with the double thermostat..... and I LOVE them... theres a website "gerbings.com" they are the actual manufacturer of the product for HD..... they're a little cheaper too if you can live without the HD logo.... or you can get them online from Chicago HD at 20% off retail and they're about the same as Gerbings........if you ever have any problem they will fix them fast and properly (Gerbings), I have never had aproblem but a buddy did... but he pulls the cord not the connector and his set is about 5 yrs old..... They come straight off of the battery with the supplied pigtail... just let it hang out from under the seat and leave enough hanging to easily plug the lead up with gloves on and you're good.... I highly recommend this product... I ride in the 20's all the time... put it in the breeze and a cold one at that !!!!

billydflnc is right on the money with his post. I have had gerbings for couple of years now best stuff on the market for heated gear. Yep gerbings makes HD heated gear for them looked at the tag couple of weeks ago and sure enough there name was on it. great customer service no one guy that had one of the older liners and had a problem told to send it in and they exchanged it with there newer model right away. One thing you have to watch out is not bumping the thermostat up. I did this once and started cooking in my liner. I have the G3 gloves which are much thinner than the old classic heated gloves but there still pricey your gonna spend around $160 for a set but worth every penny in my opinion.

Gerbing's are great gloves. They have a fused wiring harness that I have attached to the battery.
Use the thermostat and you'll be comfy all day.

Ditto on the Gerbings. I know it's hard to get your mind around the price, but look at it this way; you spend $700 for the whole outfit.. gloves/pants/jacket/socks/thermostat, you ride for 5 years. Each year you add another 45 days to the front and back wend of your riding season. That's 450 days of comfort extra riding. That's worth it to me!!

Plus, you don't have to bulk up to ride. Start with the gloves and jacket.. you'll be back for more.

Depending on where you live, you don't need the whole outfit. I live in New England, and I love riding in late fall and early spring, so I have it all.

I have the heated HD gloves, jacket liner and dual thermostat contoller. They work great. Last winter I rode down to the teens with them and was toasty warm. Well, except for my toes....might need to look into the heated socks.

HD heated gloves are made by Gerbing. I have gloves, vest, socks, and most important dual control termostat. You will need the control unit unless your good at unplugging wire on the roll. If you know what I mean. They get pretty dam hot!
Purchased at motorcycle show New York. Gerbing always at internation motorcycle shows.
