Question to you all

I just bought XL HD heated (gerbing) gloves and a temp controller. It was about 50 today.

is it normal for your hands to sweat. I thought the gloves were loose because I could hardly feel any heat even when the temp controller was at the highest setting.

Should I go a size smaller. As I was riding I would press my hands against the elements just to check they were working.

I have a screwed up right hand from a bike wreck in the 80's, [:@]so gloves are a little rough for me. [&o]I bought a set of handle bar hand warmers off of a snowmoble site, slide them over my bars on the Road Glide ( I did have to mod them a bit to fit past the mirror's ) and with my harley heated grips I'm toasty into the teens with only a set of those thin brown cotton work gloves you see everywhere for 99 cents. they're ballistic nylon with sheep skin fur on the inside, controls are easy to reach and use, and they're easy to install and store! It was a cheap $39 solution for me and would work with about any bike and makes a awesome difference! Oh and they're black so they don't stick out much

I just found this site, if you have heated gloves that aren't cutting it in the deep freeze, a set of these and your gloves should work wonders, be cheaper than a new set of gloves, they're also fitted to the bike better than my setup for sure!

I have a pair of Gerbing gloves that I bought a number of years ago. I went with a smaller glove size to reduce the bulkiness. I also have the jacket liner and one thermostat. I have found that if you hook the gloves to the liner and use one thermostat for both, you may have a hardtimefinding the right setting. I have actually burned the tops of a couple of knuckles where the wire rests against them trying to get more heat into the liner. If I had lots of money, I'd get a separate controller for the gloves and liner. My hands always feel sweaty when I use the gloves, but I've ridden in insanely cold temperatures with the gear.

battery operated at sports authority($25). Work ok I guess. here in south pa never gets cold enough to tell. The gloves they are fitted in are nice and may be warm enough in there own way?

I have the Gerbing gloves and jacket liner, with dual controls. Very nice for cold days in Washington. Bought a HD leather padlock holder and used that (with a few mods to the case) and mounted the case to the console on my RKC using the infamous bare nut to anchor it. Keeps the thermostat on the bike, covered and not dangling off my belt. All the wires are hiddenexcept for the leads thatcome directly off the jacket liner.

1) does anyone recommend the HD heated gloves, or others?
Was on a ride couple week ago. 20's and rain/snow. Fellow rider was quite PO'd he paid so much for the HD heated gloves yet had freezing hands. It may be obvious, but for what it's worth: the leather is too thin for rain. His hands were soaked.
