You are correct, they will not work with the Streamliner set. I'm in the same boat with an '08 SG and am contemplating having the seat reworked a little to move me back a bit to create a little more leg room. Although I haven't done it yet, something you may want to consider. Good luck, that is a major drawback for long legged creatures.
Yeah I ordered them thinking they were just new mounts. I wish they would come out with them for the streamliner pegs. Bubba makes some but I don't like how they look.
I have the mustang sport turing seat and I want to be able to use the driver backrest so redueing the seat to move me back won't work. The backrest already pushes me foreward when I have it on.
They are SWEET!! I put them on "with" my one inch to the side extenders and its unreal the difference!! I got blems from them on eBay and saved a few bucks. Oh and they are patented!!
Do any of you know of a company makeing brackets to extend the floorboards forward an inch or 2?
I have moved mine out an inch but need to move them forward an inch or 2.
When I ride my boot extends past the end of the floor board a couple of inches.
I have an extended shift lever and EZ brake lever on it.
Thanks
Just keep in mind that you are limited on the forward movement because of the lowers/crashbar.
Ness makes a set for baggers that should move 'em forward 2". i was told they would work with the streamliner boards. Usually not a big fan of Ness stuff but if I don't go with the Jaybrake forward controls, I'll probably order a set of these. Didn't see sets for 09-10 on the Wild Bill site.
I replaced my original engine guard with a mustache bar, re-installed my highway pegs and have boo koo of options regarding where to put my feet. I even bought a pair of HD boots (made in China, argh) that have a cut out on the back of the heel so they can set on your optional rest. I then positioned my highway pegs so I can rest my heel on my floorboards and my toe on the pegs. If I really get cranky I can drop my passenger boards if wifey is not on and go that route.
