Fullsak question
Hello, I am trying to find an answer to a question. Currently my 07 Ultra is stock performance besides wild Pig slip on's. I am interested in the fullsak true dual conversion although I am doing a little at a time and can't afford a SERT or other fuel module. Does anyone know if I would need a fuel managment system going with the fullsak?
I have future plans to get a/c and fuel managment but not right now.
Thanks for any help.

You should... as you are changing the back pressures to the system\motor by opening the flow to the left side - The Duals will help address the Heat Build-Up conditions.... (I wouldn't go with a SERT unless you can set it up yourself... The HD dealer will have to follow the EPA and it will still be adjusted on the lean (hot) side..).. There are tooo many user friendly Fuel Management systems on the aftermarket that will work better for you in the long run... And adding just slip-ons may give you more sound... But will not improve performance... - You really should consider finishing the STAGE 1... You've invested $20,000.00 + you might as well do it right...
I agree. You've already reduced back-pressure a bit and that increases air-flow a little too so your engine is probably running a bit leaner/hotter now - might still be within the band of the stock map but I'm not sure.
Like SoCal Pappy says, save up for a while and do pipes, A/C, and a user-friendly ignition module at the same time. You'll be more pleased with the results and stay on the safe side regarding lean/hot engine conditions.

You can get by just fine with (reasonable) slip-on mufflers and no other changes. The engine management will cover that much change without a hitch. If you change the plumbing you'll be changing the flow characteristics in a way that'll not correspond with the stock programming variables nearly as much anymore. It'll definitely run okay whenever you're in closed-loop mode, and the computer will make the necessary changes to accommodate. The trouble lies in the fact that those changes will also translate up into the open-loop running areas, where the changes from the stock variables will certainly need to be more different than they were in the closed-loop areas. You may get lucky and have the error produce an over-rich condition, but what if, instead, it results in an over-lean one? It's too much of a crap shoot to risk, at least it is for me.
If you want to go with the Fullsac conversion, see if you can find an add-on fueler that has mapping available for that conversion before you do.

I put the Fullsac conversion with Python slip-ons on my 07 SG without any other changes. No a/c or fuel mgmt changes. Mine runs fine. Have about 9500 miles on it including a 2100 mile trip to Colorado and no problems. It's nice to be able to hear your pipes in stereo. I got the black kit as I think it attracts less attention to the pipe where it attaches to the rear cylinder head. The stock heat shields take some adjusting but it all worked out well. Go for it.
