i think 5% +/- is considered acceptable. think if yours is 5% high, and your buds were 5% low, there could be a 10% difference between yours and theirs. dealer isn't gonna do anything about it unless it says your doing 110 at 30mph, or vice versa. thats why the iba says not to ride your bike out 500 miles then turn around and come back. got to be verifiable through mapquest or something.
Just bought 05 ultra classic....i've learned from my riding buddies that my speedometer is about 3 mph too fast (when mine says 73mph theirs says 70) and when we stop to buy gas and compare miles ridden on this particular tank of gas i always show about 6-8 more miles on the odometer....before i take it to the dealer, can someone tell me if this can be corrected?recalibrated?
