A Friend bought a 08 Roadking and went back to the dealer to put Ape hanger handle bars and was told he could not put any handle bars on at this time or even move them a little bit forward because of the cable less throttle set up. Is there a way to put apes on his bike? Does anyone know how this system works on the new bikes? Bad thing about this hole thing is he told the saleman what he was going to do and the saleman never told him with the new throttle set up would not allow different handle bars at this time.
Bullchit! They do not offer aftermarket handlebars at this time, but they can successfully be adapted. I am living proof I adapted a set of aftermarket bars and Kury ISO grips for my 08. I have a thread here on the forum with a picture trail of how I did it.
