Well, just got back from the dealer and pulled the trigger on a set of 08 Police Bars for the RG. They are the same as the Heritage Bars with the slot for the FBW. 68 bucks with 10% HOG discount, not bad. I will update and post pics as they get put on. Not sure if I will add braided cables yet, but definitely new grips. Will work on that and keep ya posted.
Can you tell me about these bars? I have an 08 RKC and the stock bars simply suck....Ultimaely I'd like them back about 2" closer to me and maybe an inch higher. My dealer had talked about the police bars but i'd really like to get info from someone that has installed them. I see you are in Chicago as well...Any chance we could meet and greet and let me take a peek??? The 08 Screaming Eagle Road King has the perfect bend however they are 1 1/4" bars and I don't feel like spending $700+ to change all my controls.

We sure can. PM me with your info and let me know where your at. I'll be at the Ironhorse Roundup on the 4th if that works. If not, shoot me a PM and see if we can meet. I'm always up for a beer!!!![sm=icon_guiness.gif][sm=icon_cheers.gif]
Thanks! That worked. Do you have the bars in line with the forks, or do you have them pulled back closer to you? I'm just wondering if I could keep them in line with my forks and have them be more comfortable than the stock RKC bars. I'd rather not have to roll them back.

Didn't check that. While they were snug i sat on the bike and moved them to a comfortable position. I can check at home later and post that. I don't think they're to out of line. Will let you know.
