taking the ultra on friday for the stage I and download. i've been told that it will still run quite lean with this setup and that the better download is the "twin cam race" download, this "race" download runs the bike richer therefore cooler with no significant loss of gas mileage...anyone here heard of or used this download?

The downloads are purpose designed for SE parts....
If you have something OTHER than what is specified, I'll be the first to tell you that you might not get the results that you are after....

Any dealer download for a 07 or 08 will be epa compliant. There wont be a race download avalible to you unless you add the SERT which does have some additional maps that can be used. I just had it done to my 08 and it works good, better power and even makes it sound better, it doesn't change the heat level much but a little.

guess i should have noted my ultra classic is a stock 05...wow great info Shovel!....i'll taek it with me to show the service tech...great help...gotta love this site!
