I have an 07 ultra classic with d&d fatcats, ANBS stage 1, and thundermax autotune. I get pinging when I take off in first gear when hot and also between 2000 and 3000 rpm when i crank on the throttle to pass or something. Is the bike set too lean? Called TMAX tech support a while back and told them my setup, and he said not too lean and could not explain it.

 

It's not necessarily "to lean", it sounds like you have too much spark advance under some circumstances. Try to determine the exact conditions that cause the pinging and then go into the T-Max advance table and reduce the advance by 2 degress in those cells. Make small adjustments to only a few cells at a time.
