Hey Guys
I just got back from a 4 day ride with a couple of mates and my scoot ran great. One of the guys I road with ( who is a auto mechanic ) feel that my timing sounds a bit retarded at idle. Heres the question!.
With out getting to technical can someone explain how to advance the timing in theT/Max just1 or 2 degrees at a time.
I thinkI go into timing vs engine speed and advance it there ( is this correct )
There a 3 timing values shown Base Timing 13 Deg
Front & rear cylinder spark advancevalues whichincrease with engine speed.
All help appreciated

Have you buddy speak to TMax and explain the concern. TMax is usually really helpful/patient with explaining or correcting problems with their products.
I to have a t max and it fells like the timing is too retarded and I heard if your timing is retarded your bike will run hot and have bad mpg and mine does. Did you find out how to adjust your timing?
Hi Dirtyone
As yet I havent changed my timing but I still need to.
I'm off on a 2000 mile run up to Queensland ( to the mate whose a mechanic ) and we will have a bit of a play.
The problem with running a canned map down here in Australia is that T/max timing is set for 91 - 93 octane fuel ( I only run 98 octane in my scoot )
I'll post my results in the new year.
