I've got 1.75 on the right, 2.25 on the left (left side doesn't get as much as the right) on stock headpipes. Sound is great. Very balanced this way, and I picked up some performance over running straight 2.25's. Even my riding friend commented the other night about the tone. They are very comfortable crusing all day at 60, but wail real good when you wrap on it hard. I will be going Bassani Powercurve head pipes soon.

Had the 1.75s. Sounded too "tinny" for me.

OK, well- nobody has posted a sound clip for you so I will. I've got Rush 2.0's on my '07 Night Train. I love them.

That sounds pretty good. I am glad to finally hear those. That doesn't sound tinny to me. So is it safe to say the 1.75 sound pretty much the same only quieter?

I have the 2 inch baffles I put about 4,000 miles on them. I had a rattle so I pulled the baffle. The packing was almost completly gone. I bought them from las vegas harley. They got me a new set of packing, but they were shorter than the baffle. I am still happy with the sound and quality of chrome. I enventually want to get TS Hushers and true duals.

That would be my guess, but I haven't heard the 1.75's. You may as well just go with the 2" baffles. They sound great, and you still don't need to do stage 1 if you do the 2" or under. My bike runs and sounds great, and I'm picky.
