Where did you hear that? I've got an '08 Ultra on the way. Will I get hot? Or, will it just be my wife's right foot?
I was shooting the poop with a harley service manager and he was saying a lot of people buying the new 08's are complaining of the excessive heat, rider and passenger. He was saying that they were needing a tuner and a stage 1 kit to get better flow. I 'm not in the market so this was just off the top of his head.

He's full of poop. If he's referring to the "stage 1 download" at any rate. It'll be just as EPA-lean. I don't know where the idea comes from that more air into the engine will help cool it. Unless it's tuned to a non-compliant AFR it'll be even more hot if it's actually using the more air. Maybe folks actually think that more air blowing around inside the cylinder will cool it more just like what happens when more air's blowing around outside it?
If your engine is running hot you might want to install one of these TC96 cook grills. Will be avaliable as a stock item on all '09 Touring/Camping models.... lol
