Currently have a PA.drivers license with MC designationand am going tohave to get a new liscnes in Florida when I move there. Do you have to take amotorcycle test again or do they replace your out of state licnese with a FL. drivers liscens rated with the same rating youprevioulsy had on your old liscnes?Don't really want to have to go thourgh that crap again. Thanks
Out-of-state Newcomers
If your out-of-state license is current and already has a motorcycle endorsement, you won't be required to take additional tests to get the endorsement on your new Florida license. That is, as long as if you are younger than 21, you have completed a Florida-approved safety course. If you are older than 21 but haven't completed an approved safety course, you will need to take and pass the motorcycle knowledge and skills test
Make sure you tell them about it when you trade in your current PA license.... I'm a pa rider.. got my license in high school - after college moved out of state and didnt have a bike so i didnt even think about my bike license.... but i forgot to mention it, and they didnt notice when the new state issued my new license.. and i walked out.... 6 years later i was riding a bike in florida and got pulled over and got my bike towed for $200, got a $300 fine, and had to pay a lawyer $1500 so i didnt lose my drivers license for failing to comply with drivers license regulations --- A BUNCH OF BS
You need to install airbags and a red flashing light on your bike to notify the new arrivals and the almost dead that you are on the road with them, then you will get your endorsement.
