From what I've read on this forum about the Solow lowering kits, everyone seems to be very happy with them. So I ordered one. But I'm 250 pounds and when I put my wife on we're pushing 400. I keep my shocks pretty stiff, but with lowering the rear do I have to worry about fender to wheel clearance
I've weighed as much as 240 (down to 220 right now) since putting my kit on. Lisa would kill me if I gave a combined weight so we'll just leave that one alone. I ride solo with 5 lbs and two up with 15 lbs in rear shocks. I've never bottomed out. With your combined weight I'd start out at about 20 lbs two up. Let me know if you have any other questions.

I have to wonder, will the shock travel let the tire hit the under side of the fender before the shock compresses completly?
Maybe I'll contact Solow, two up and we are at or near the limit. But I sure would like to lower the rear.
