Howdy! I have a 06 RKC. Comes stock with no tach. I have a vibration that the local dealer is trying to locate. In trying to communicate the condition, I can only make a reference with speed. Are there any graphs anyone may be aware of that would show a comparision of speed with rpm? I have tried to look this up on the internet and can't seem to locate anything! HELP PLEASE!!

 

Other than adding a speedo, with the tach on it, or adding a tach itself, I have no idea what speed vs. rpm is. I was thinking of adding a tach/speedo, myself, but those things are just so expensive. Maybe someone here, that already has a tach can tell you the rpm/speed number you are looking for.

 

I put a tach on my 07 Road King. What speeds are you trying to find rpm's for? The next time I ride (within the week) I could take a look for you.

I marked the tire (at a few thousand miles) and rolled it straight down the street for four revolutions, measured the distance and divided by four to get the circumference. Then put the numbers into a spreadsheet. See the attached image.
