how many riding days left
Beautiful pics. Here in the sunshine state we ride year round. Best trip I ever took was thru the Canadian Rockies in July. Lake Louise, Lake Lucerne, mountains, wildlife, highly recommend that ride to everyone.
Man I've GOT to take a trip back out West when I retire next year. Great pics choochoo. Thanks.
Go to a industrial supply store that sells hard hats etc.
Have them get you a knit ear warmer. It slips on the bottom of hard hat and covers ears. Like what skiers wear.
It is about 6-8 inches in diameter and stretches.
I use one for the neck and slip one down over the ears.
If using a do-rag or ball cap it helps hold them on in the wind.
Also sporting goods stores have the "snoopy" style fur lined aviator hats or the army surplus has them.
I got mine 10 years ago for about $15.
We have a coleman camping outlet in Loveland , Col. Got ski gloves there for about $7.50.
Also snowboarder pants work good. Full zippered legs and meah liner and a waterproof cuff. Got mine at sporting goods for $65.
Buy large enough to slip over chaps.
Here in NM, I can ride through most of Nov. It does get really cold at night, and since I ride to work and get off at 2am, I like to ride more on my days off. I don't really have any winter gear. Last year I used a old pair of jeans over my work slacks, as chaps.Might do the same this year, LOL. Also, I didn't have winter gloves until last Christmas, so I would wear two pair of summer gloves, LOL. Two bandanna around my face, and two around my neck, LOL. I froze my butt off, LOL. This year should be a little better. Got a face balaclava that has a thing that goes down further on my neck. And the gloves. Still going to be cold, though. Was thinking of swapping out the old jeans for a set of old overall, LOL. A little redneck, maybe, but "I ams what I ams." LOL

Ride til the salt is put on the road here in Illinois, usually in December. Then wait for a good rain to wash it off before I can ride again in Feb or March
Now I am out here in Southern Cal, so I won't have to worry about those snow days this year!
