Last month, for the first time, I installed wide whitewalls on the wire wheels on my 2000 FLHTC. I'd always had the narrow ones until then. IMHO, it's one of the best things I ever did to enhance the overall appearance of the bike. The new look is simply beautiful. That's my biased opinion. Sorry I don't have any pics, and wouldn't know how to post one if I did.
I repainted my 06 EGC with laced wheels, yellow pearl & birch white and used the metal tank emblems from 1956 and plan to change over to the wide whitewalls at the next tire change period. It gives it that nostalgic look.
This is not an Ultra, but it should give you a pretty good idea. I painted this bike for my friend and talked him into the whitewalls, he loved it. It did change the look of the bike dramatically.
My Father-in-law has them on his Ultra that's what made me like them so much that I put themon my Road King. I might have some pictures of his Ultra at home on my computer, I'll check tonight.....
