Anyone know where the Smart Siren module is mounted on the08 Ultra?Popped the side covers and don't see an obvious location for it. On my 03 it was under the right side cover.
Yea it took me a little while to figure out where the siren went. On my 07 Ultra it was under the left side cover, on the 08 it is under the right side cover. There is a space just big enough for it to fit in to. The plug for it is hidden in plain sight at the bottom. It is really a tight fit for the siren, but if you try long enough and hard enough it will "snap" into its place.
I think you have that wrong.... or you are calling left side right.
"On the '08 touring bikes they have moved the connector to under the left side cover. There is a spot to mount the siren. It is vertical and towards the front. It is difficult to snap the siren in, but it can be done. The connector is near the bottom and connected to a blank. At least that is how it is on my '08 EGC."
To arm it you have to turn the ignition off and take the FOB away from the bike several feet. Have your pager receiver on and in encoding mode and pointing toward the bike, while it is arming.
Thanks guys! Left side is where it was. Once I found the wire on the dummy plug the rest was obvious. Bit of a bear snapping it into place under the 2 plastic hooks. Chripin like a bird now
