Default adjusting the spots.....

Can someone tellme how to adjust the spot lights on each side of the headlight? Do you go in from behind the bulb somehow or can I possibly access it going up through the turn signal? Is there a swivel or something that can be adjusted...one of the lights shines right down on the ground in front of the bike.

HD sells a special tool, a socket with a slit cut in it that allows the lamp mount to be tightened (after adjustment) without mashing the wire. Some have also cut a notch into their own sockets to do the same job. Hope this points you in the right direction.

On a scale of 1 to 10 this job rates about a 6.
remove turnsignals. Allen wrench forget size. Forgive me I'm at work right now.
look up you willsee a wire and past that a 9/16 nut.
Made my own socket. Bought a Craftsman deep 6 point socket. UsedDremnel tool with cut off wheel. cut a slot in socket for wire. loosen nut just enought to move light.
spots should be adjusted shinning just be low low beam about 25 foot from a wall.
Had my wife help me with this one.
Have fun.

made my own socket too...what a pita to adjust. hope you have three hands. try to muscle 'em first. i put amber sealed beams on the ultra. they light up the ditches and trees about 75-100' out real good. run 'em during the day too. no mistaking me for anything BUT a motorcycle with amber spots

I was stuck on this same issue. Finally I got mad enough and just grabbed the spot lamp with both hands and moved it. It worked OK and has not moved in the last 1500 miles. Good luck.

Snap On also make the same socket that Harle sells it retails for $42.

The "Arm Strong" method of adjusting might work, but if you use too much arm, the light is toast
