Default Changing Bars

I am thinking about changing my stock RK bars to the RK custom bars........ My question is, will i have to get longer cables ? or will the stock ones work.

If the new bars are about the same dimensions, then the old cables will be fine, but if the new bars have significantly altered and moved your riding position where your gripping the bars much higher and/or farther back then yes there is a good chance you will need to change out one or more cables. Trial and error in other words, just make sure when you install the new bars, that you have the proper slack and freedom in the cables from left lock to right turn lock.

Do you have an RKC? If so, Heritage and RK high bars don't need cable changes (this I know). Going to beach bars will.

If you go to the official H-D web site and go to the accessaries for your year and model under handlebars it should state which non-stock H-D bars will need cable changes in the description. Good luck.

stock lines will work if you are going with the custom bars. I just changed to braided brake line because of looks. Good luck
