Bought Wrong Touring Bike!

Argh! I love my bike but I also have second thoughts. I have the '07 EG Classic in Pewter Pearl. It's a beautiful bike but it lacks coolness. I bought this bike because of practicality. Now I realize I also want style and fun factor. Practical CAN be fun, as there's a fine line between a pontoon boat and a party barge. Right now my bike is more pontoon-like. I want it to be a party barge.

What can I do to really up the coolness factor? I don't want to just strip it down into a street glide, although that's one option. Any other ideas? Custom paint? Kick-*** stereo. Soft bags or something original. It needs a winter transformation. Help!?!

Lowered? Set of aftermarket wheels? W/O tourpac Low profile seat, Keep it KLEEN! Thats my opinion. Thats what i like about HD's all the different options .

Don't beat yourself up. Those are some great looking bikes if fixed up the right way. To me less is more. Good Luck JimmyZ

my take, you have a cool ride,,, only the Ultra is cooler, only by very little!
Now,, cool is,, what the bike does for/to ME!!!
not what it does for OTHERS!

take mama on a weekend trip,,, get jiggy, enjoy lots of new senic miles,
meet some new friends,,go back to hotel, get jiggy with it again,,
party, jiggy some more, another ride adventure, head home,,,,,
now tell me,,, THAT aint COOL??????????

few weekends like that,,,, wouldnt give a damn if you were on a Donkey!!!lol

You can cool that baby up with a lot of stuff. Pipes (for instance)is ususally what really gets my attention. That deep harley rumble gets me all goosepimply. Works for me.

Hey, man, I ride an EGC also, and to me it's the coolest! No prettier profile on the road today. With the fairing, the bags, the chrome, the stereo cranking out great toons, my wife on back--I AM the man! Fix it up any way you want it cause it's all good!

Nothing wrong with being practical, the EG is a cool bike. Its not as cool as my RKC but its still a little cool for an old man. J/K. I have the RKC and love it, its versatile cruser / tourer depending on bag config. I will buy an Ultra next, its the Caddy of the Harleys, plus I like the radio and fairing.
