I got the ones with the extended arm from HD about $26 each. I used to see half my should er and that was using the 2 inch height extenders. Since I got the long stems, I can see really well behind me. There is a little increased vibration though at idle.
I've looked at those. It appears (by a quick check on the ultra) that the field of view will be about the same. I'd like to see behind me rather than looking at my shoulder. I'd like to see the bonehead that is about to plow into me. [&:]
I ride my dads street glide with them and i can see behind me fine but you may like to see more than i do but i have rode dirt bikes for 13 years and i have rode street bikes for 4 mounths so i don't really even look at my mirrors.
Well I took her out for a ride during lunch today and it was warm enough to not wear my leather jacket, so I just tossed on my vest and gloves and off I went. I noticed that I could see behind me. My jacket shoulders must puff out pretty big.
I'll still change them out, but now I know the real reason.

I had the same problem, It's true Harley has rectangular mirrors with Longer Stems & when I looked at them they were $22.00 a pr. But I remembered I had a set of long Stem Black one's from a night train iI use to own( that's a long story for another time).. So I used the black one's on My new 05 Ultra.They fit just right & since i'm going to keep everything Black I'm not going to get the Chrome one's, Becouse Chrome was'nt built in a day!!!!!!
