Default DOUBLE CLUNK WHEN SHIFTING INTO GEAR

I have a 07 Roadglide with 12,500 miles, started hearing and feeling a double clunk when shifting into first gear started around 11,000 miles, anybody have an idea what might be causing this?
Thanks in advance

Are you firm with your foot to shifter motion?

Mine is in the shop at this very minute for the same problem. I also heard a grinding noise that I have attributed to the "box of rocks" in 5 gear - but I hear it in all gears. Last I heard they were looking at the inner primary bearing.

Thanks for the responses, "Jaymcgil" I do shift into 1st firmly, I do not feel the second engagement but I can defiantly hear it, Ultra-Bob the first thing I checked was if the shifter was loose but it is not. I,ve been running RedLine heavy in the trans since the 1000mi service and recently installed the IDS, with the installation of the IDS the bike does run smoother and has eliminated almost all of the clatter. I'm sorta glad that I'm not the only one that has this problem, no offense 'TickTock" but keep me informed on the results of your findings.

Dealer replaced the inner primary bearing. I just rode it home and so far it seems better and it is not making any noise. I will ride it more this weekend and let you know if anything changes.
