Soak a cotton towel with water. Lay towel on windshield for 15 minutes. Wipe clean. It's that simple and you don't have to worry about any cleaners damaging your windshield.
Totally agree, if you're home in your garage at the end of a ride. What do you do on a road trip?
I carry a can of Honda polish and a soft towel in my saddlebag, and clean my windshield as needed at gas stops. Spray the shield, fill up the gas tank, wipe of the shield. And any other place that is full of bugs.
MNPGRiderhas it, Honda spray clearner is great stuff plus you can use it on everything without worry..They make 2 sizes so you can keep a small can in you bag. I have been using it for a couple of years..stuff works great..only problem is having to go to a Honda dealer but it's worth it.
S100 Special Surfaces cleaner. Use it on the winshield and the front fairing. Gets the bugs and stuff off real quick and easy. Use a Microfiber cloth with it.
I don't leave home without Pro Honda Spray Cleaner & Polish. Cleans good and the rain beads up and blows off the windscreen. I also use it on my helmet and face shield. It takes the bugs off the batwing in between washings. Spray it on, let it sit for a minute or so and wipe the bug guts off with a soft cloth without any surface scratching.
lemon pledge. even take a can of it and a couple of micro-fiber rags on trips to knock the big bugs off the windshiled, fairing and lowers so that when i get back cleaning up the bike ain't such a chore.
