What is the best product to use for cleaning a windshield on a regular basis? Something that can be used every other day if needed. Does glass cleaner work on Harley windshields?
Do a search. There are plenty of notes on this.
But the most common recomendation is to use a hot water soaked towel to get the bug guss flowing again and use a good, non-amonia cleaner. Amonia will eventually eat away at the paint.

Soap, water, microfiber towel. It's cheap and it works. Will not scratch. Just check your microfiber towel first to make sure it has not picked something up that will scratch it. Seems like everything sticks to them like leaves, dirt, bugs ect. and you can get it on your fairing and anything else on your bike because its soap and water. The warm towel over it for bugs works very good cause you do not want to scrub them off. It's not so much the scratches you do see as much as the ones you don't see that will add up to a nice foggy shield later on.
Honda Spray Cleaner and Polish. Use it on everything--chrome, paint, windshield. Dissolves bug guts instantly. Polishes out scratches. Does not attract wasps like Lemon Pledge
Seriously. All those big Tulsa windshields you see on Gold Wings? What do you think their owners use? Honda Polish.
Others have posted that Honda recently changed the formula, but the original is now available through Kawasaki.Don't know if that is true or not, but I stocked up on what our Honda dealer had just in case.
Windex? Why would you use anything that could possible run down and ruin your paint?
Soak a cotton towel with water. Lay towel on windshield for 15 minutes. Wipe clean. It's that simple and you don't have to worry about any cleaners damaging your windshield.
