Soak a cotton towel with water. Lay towel on windshield for 15 minutes. Wipe clean. It's that simple and you don't have to worry about any cleaners damaging your windshield.
Totally agree, if you're home in your garage at the end of a ride. What do you do on a road trip?
I carry a can of Honda polish and a soft towel in my saddlebag, and clean my windshield as needed at gas stops. Spray the shield, fill up the gas tank, wipe of the shield. And any other place that is full of bugs.
I put a really wet, at the dripping pointhand towel (the kind you swipe from a hotel [sm=devilangel.gif]) in a gallon zip lock bag in the front of the right saddle bag to use on the road. Seems the front of the right saddle bag gets warm and transfers the heat to the towel. When refueling, put the towel on the windshield. By the time fueling is complete the bugs are soft and will wipe off easily. I second the Novus plastic cleaner. Your milage may vary....
