For those of you who have tried different windshield heights on your Road Glides - esp for those of you that are in the 5' 6" range - how low can you go and still keep most of the wind out of your face?
As you can see by my picture, I don't care to keep the wind out of my face. I'm thinkin the stock windshield will work well. The tall windshield just really breaks up the lines of the bike. The low profile would be interesting to try at your height. Just gotta try them and see.
The HD books shows two low profiles for the 2004 and later models =
58753-01 = stock on FLTRSEI(2) and is 7" tall fits 98 and later "this statement confuses me since the fairing changed shape from 03 to 04??
58284-04 = 6" shorter than stock which turns out to be 9.5 inches tall 04 & later FLTR models
So, anyone of you "vertically challenged" (LOL) riders out there runner either of these?? I really do want to lower the shield but I also want to maintain some wind protection = On my FLHTC I ran the 6" shield and it seen to work fine with my height =
