Good question, as I ponder this very same thing. I have a upgrade to the engine in mind, and know exactly how I want the custom paint to look. Problem for me is money. Just not enough of it, LOL.

Do the HQ cams and HQ heads and 2-1. When you do the heads, take the core charge route where they charge you then refund the money after you turn in your heads. Take that money and set it aside for paint. Sell of theRineharts andput that money toward the paint also.

Is it better to look good or "feel good" ? If you're pleased with your engine, mileage etc the way it is then I'd go with the paint. A good quality job paint wise will prolly run you 3 to 5K.

Do a 110" 2 into 1, and a falsie.. then after you ride that beast, paint it...

Or, leave it alone, looks great...

If your motor is running well, go for the paint and set that ride apart from everyone else's. BTW, making this decision is not a bad problem to have!! Post some pics when she's done.

Engine first! But why not do both, its a long winter !!!

Good looking bike but I know how the small scratches and imperfections can drive an ****-retentive person nuts

RJ - You know how I feel about your bike. It rocks from any angle. Since you already have a nice running 95", I would do the paint this winter and go big on the motor next winter.

My own personal motto: "The best modifications are the ones that can't be seen from the outside."

I'm not exactly a power junkie, but I love the looks on other riders' faces when I twist the wick andpull away from them on the road.

Sure, I'd love a custom paint job. But basic black suits me just fine for now.

BTW, I also think your bike looks great the way it sits.

Build the motor; that's my vote!

Good luck...I know you'll make the right decision. ;-)
