Default Cell phone use

It seems most of us agree that driving and the use of cellphones cause more accidents when the two are put togeather. How often do you use your cell phone when driving your cage.

The wife gets upset with me because I never carry or have my cell phone on. It is either in the console of my car, or the saddlebag of my bike, turned off. I use it for out-going calls only, and even then I might use it once every other month. You wouldn't believe that I'm a computer geek would you....I do tech support for a living, but hate "being connected".

I helped scrape what was left of a guy and his Road King out of a ditch a few days ago who did the same. Enjoy.

Have done it a few times. Probally won't do it much more. Its too easy to just pull over. I have the phone on vibrate and wifey know if she really needs to talk to keep calling back and I will get the point.

I'm sure that he meant this as a joke. You don't really think he talkes on the cellphone and drinks beer on his bike do you? We have to have a sense of humor here.

As much as I hate government interference I wonder if we may eventually need some to stop the morons in the world or at least the US.

1. Device that prevents making out going calls while in a cage with the engine running. Incoming can be received, but not answered.

2. Scanner or card reader in motor vehicle that compares the operator qualifications to a database. If your license has been suspended or revoked, the vehicle won't start. If you have no license, the vehicle won't start. If you are not authorized by the registered owner, the vehicle won't start.

3. No DVD unit of any kind may be installed in a vehicle.

4. Limit the maximum decibel / wattage of vehicle music systems. If it exceeds the limit, it shuts off for 10 minutes the first time, 20 the second, and totally until reset by authorized dealer for third offense.

Many existing laws are due to citizens refusing to use common sense.

I dunno.

I agree. What pisses me off the most is the fact that I might be taken out by some 17 year old blond girl who is texting her 17 year old blond friend that Britney Spears got caught without her panties again.
