Default The Emperor's new clothes......

As Fall grabs us within its clutches, the wife and I head for the Ozarks frequently. However, she likes all the creature comforts that the UltraClassic has to offer so I had to PHatten the scoot back up with its winter coat of amenities. The Ultra has donned the quick detachable tourpak complete with CB, full 4 speaker stereo, and the comfy couch for our big butts. I kinda missed the Garbage barge look, soooooo, if mama aint happy, NOBODY'S HAPPY.[&o] Back on it goes.[:-]

Here is someBaywatch Spring and Summerscantedly clad attire pics and then some PHur added for frigid temps of the elementsthat theFall and Winter bringforth.

Watcha think? PHat or skinny?

Definatly the summer. But, if I were to try an Iron Butt run, the winter would win.

Wow...the Ultra certainly has many "options". I have an 07 Ultra SE. Would like to consider some of the same options..however there is an amp under the tour pac, which apparently causes some concern.

Does anyone have an Ultra SE that has changed the look by adding the detachable hardware? If so, what did you do with the amp?
Another question would be cost. I know you have to get a different seat.....then the detach hardware for the tour pac.......and perhaps the list goes on. Exactly what is the list and approx cost of changing the look of the bike?

Inquiring minds want to know...

Thanks..

Several motorcycles in one. The wheels seem to just make it jump out at you...and accent the shine!!!

Darren: Great looking bike and theoptions are great--surprises me that evenmore Ultras and Classics aren't set-up like yours.

It takes me about 15 minutes to remove/install the chrome support brackets that the two-up detachable rack mounts to on the bike--I much prefer the look of the rear of the bikewithout those chrome brackets.

In addition to the King TP on a two-up detachable rack that I added this year, I bought a Customcyclegear/Mutazu/VIP aftermarket tour pak and mounted it on a solo detachable rack a couple of years ago and found it had plenty of storage and the backrest on the box serves well as a rider backrest. Just another option to consider if you ever decide you'd like a solo seat for travel.

Now go ahead and pull the trigger andput the SG fender/facia; shoot the inner fairing; ad spun aluminum gauges; etc. It's only $$$$$.

And if you never do another thing to your bike, it's still a great Ultra.
