Any one have this done on there engine? A local around here has it an it look's really good, but I alway's see just the bike I can never find the owner. So I'll ask yall, the ad claims better cooling capabilities, is this true? Is it worth the time and money, or is it a marketing gimmick? I will soon be tearin down the engine in my FLHX to ad some more ponies, so if it is worth it this would be the time to do it. Thanx in advance,

All I can say is " It sures looks good, and I get alot of compliments on mine". I have an 05 Ultra Classic and i had the diamond cut jugs put on when they put th SE stage II kit in mine. This is my 2nd Ultra this year and I had both of them done the same way. I can't speak for it cooling any better because I never noticed. Mine never had an overheating problem this summer. They do advertise the diamonds to cool up to 15 degrees cooler than stock cut jugs. Maybe someone can kick in the technical info, I just know I love the way they look on my bike.

I have had a few done for some customers. Looks good, Ill give it that, don't know about if it actually improved cooling anything worth mentioning though, maybe a few degrees, no real feedback from the end users I installed them for. Since the jagged edges in effect increase surface area, its supposed to help remove heat faster. If your doing it for the custom look I would say go ahead, but be sure to do the cylinders to get a nice match. But if your looking for better cooling properties, better off buying an oil cooler or upgrading to some one piece aluminum cylinders(which also will increase your discplacement a bit)for the same cash outlay.
