I am amazed how someone can comment on something they know little about. Only those that ride an 07' can appreciate the improvement the IDS makes on their bike. The 07' is my first Harley and I thought the rough acceleration was normal. I only realized how harsh the engine was on my bike when I rode my buddie's 06'. The 07's are not like previous year model Harleys. The IDS made a major improvement to my bike. I find it real interesting that the owners manual states that you can shift into 6th gear at 55 mph. There was no way that was possible before the IDS install. With the IDS it is tolerable at 55 but not the best RPM IMO. Before the IDS install my bike wasn't worth what I paid for it. The only improvement I wish I could make now is to make it a little longer. T.
You have no problems why pay money to install something that will wear out one day and must be checked at regular intervals to make sure its not going south. IDS is a great band aid for the guys with clatter but its of no use to anyone with out that issue.

Were you talking to me, the owner and operator for just about 9k miles of an '07 RKC? Or was it somebody else you were referring to?
It's called Isolated Drive Sprocket. It's a rubber bushinged rear sprokect for the final drive that does a good job quieting down the noisy transmissions on the 07s. It's a HD part that comes stock on the 08s.
It works well and smooths out the ride. Worth the money for most riders of 07s.
