This confuses me a bit. When you ride one up and have air in the shocks, it decreases the rake angle a little bit and I would think it would make the steering quicker and shake happen easier. When the bike is ridden two up with no air in the shocks it should drop a lot in the rear and increase the rake, making it turn a bit slower and that should reduce the shake issues. If this isn't the case, there has to be more to it than just front end geometry. One of those websites blames the shake on the swingarm mount which allows "horizontal" movement when only verticle movement should be allowed.

If it is front end dive related, adding a bit of oil to the forks would reduce dive and make the front end progressively more firm. There's plenty of things that can be changed/adjusted to help this and I really wonder if the ppl that experience the problem have suspension setup issues more than anything else......

I also still can't stop thinking that the full windshield puts more downforce on the front end at speed, which reduces rake and increases shake probability. Do we have anybody with short windscreens like the Street Glide having this problem too?

I have taken windshield off bike. No problems. My shield is cut down 3 inches. It could be air and how it moves over and under the shield along with hitting a bump in the road at speed.
Yes 2 different handling problems the wobbles rubber isolators in swing arm. move the rear wheelout of aligment with the front wheel.
The front end shaking handlebars shaking side to side. Head bearing loose. and a hole host of other thing that can cause it. That is why not every bike has this problem.
It's a Harley this winter I'll work on it.
Front fender acts like a fork brace. Make sure the bolts holding it on are torque.
