bike sounds different
04 E-glide Standard.
Vance and Hines true dual, with megaphone drag specialites mufflers, no baffles.
carbed, screaming eagle ignition, carb is jetted and bike runs good.
BUT, it sounds like the rear cylinder is not firing all the time at idle. Just sounds weak. Did a compression test, 120 ( guage may not be accurate, but both are the same) in both front and rear. Motor makes no ticking noise. ( lifters)
I know the pipes are not the same side to side, but the bike deff sound different. Would the new ignition make it sould like its missing on one side at idle. IS the timing different. >>>
Seems to run fine down the road but does sound raspier just cruizin, NOW,, one pipe is blacker than the other, could there be an intake gasket leak??

Have you checked your coil wires to make sure one isn't partially grounding or maybe not completely attached? Had this on my Indian that was carbed. I don't know if a carbed Harley is set up the same. Mine would only do it sometimes.
