POD Lights
I'm a Boogey Lights dealer in the Texas Panhandle and I assure you there aretons ofproducts out there for lighting your scooter upand you have to be careful what you buy. Many of the do-it-yourself kits look easy enough but can cause you a ton of heartache down the road. Problems frompoorly insulated wiring to substandard mounting/adhesive materials will plague you. Properly installed accent lighting will have no visible wiring or switches, wiring and lightingwill beplaced in the right spots and will not be affected by engine heat, and will include a good quality adhesivethat will not fall off. I suggest finding a reputable and experienceddealer/installer and riding away with a lit up ride and no worries.Any installer worth his salt is going to offer you a good product with a warranty (ours are lifetime) and will also warranty thier labor. However, if you're pretty handy and pay close attention to detail, find a good flexible strip LED product likethe cut-n-click from Boogey. They are extremely versitile and you will get MUCH more light than you will from typical pod lighting. On theBoogey web site www.boogey.com there are severalinstructional videos for the do-it-yourselfers. As with anything else you can put on your ride, you get what you pay for, so expect to pay a little more for better quality.Boogey has dealersall over the USAand they have a quick locater on thier dealer lookup page. All in all, the best advice I can give is to do your homework andget what you want the first time. If you happen to be around the Texas Panhandle look me up and we can light your bike upinaround a hour for an average job.

I have the blue on my RKC. I took a lot of time to hide the podsto not be visible. I put all six pods on with masking tape and moved them around until I got the most refractive light with the pods not visible.
I dont run them while driving, usually just when bar hopping and feeling frisky.

I had the stealer install the HD pods when I bought my bike. What a mistake. The tech didn't like putting them on and he didn't know what he was doing. Two of the pods are visible as well as the switch. I think there are 6 pods in the HD set. Where did you mount yours? The 2 that are visible are mounted on the frame, one infront of the engine and the other in back. I am trying to figure out how to move them and conceal them. Any ideas out there?

I have one on the frame at the left rear (over the cyl head) one inside the back of the horn cover, one up front under the tank on the left then it goes over to the right side with another under the front of the tank, one on the bottom of the intake and a third on under the rear of the tank. again they are all hidden so you cant see the actual pods just the light.
the switch is tucked up under the edge of the seat.
I saw an installation at Biketoberfest where they ran the lites along the bottom of the saddle bags. The reflections on the mufflers looked pretty good, kind of like the tour pack side marker lights.
I'm a dealer for Dr Neon, Sreet Magic and Wixs Techs. As someone stated there are so many suppliers out there, so you need to be carefull. A buddy of mine had a set done and paid almost $800.00 dollars in Sturgis. Some buddy, because we do the same remote multicolor kit installed for a lot less. Some friend huh! So just be carefull on what you buy and that you can also get replacements. Also someone mentioned thet are illegal to run with in a lot of states.
I had mine done, along with some pin striping, at a rally. Cost me $200 for both of it. I have electropods on my bike, and they seem to work just fine. I have a module that makes them blink, and I can choose the speed of the blink, the intensity of the light, and whether to just leave them solid. It does not have a remote, which would be nice. Mine are mounted with one at the back of the engine cavity, under the seat (6 LEDS). One under my carb (6 LEDS). One under the horn (6 LEDS) and a either17 or 18LED flex strip under each side of the tank (2x). This one, http://www.streetfxseries.com/pc/vie...;idproduct=105. And the 6 LED ones are sold in pairs (they put an extra one at the back of the engine when I asked them nice, nice, LOL. This is them, http://www.streetfxseries.com/pc/vie...p;idproduct=24. And here is the module to make them blink, http://www.streetfxseries.com/pc/vie...;idproduct=106, I watched the lady put them on, and she showed me exactly how to do it, what to look for, and how best to place them. With the module I have, there is a lot of extra ports I can install more lights, so I am going to. I am thinking two somewhere at the back of the bike, most likely between the bags. And at least one more at the front of the engine cavity, behind the downtube cross member. Should be nice and bright when I am done. From watching her, it seems to be a very easy install, but for the price they gave me, don't forget they pin striped my bike as well, it seems to be a good deal. I will be putting some of these on a buddies ride this winter.
