Default Thunderheaders

Just installed new thunderheaders on my 06 Custom Road King. While great throaty noise at idle and bike rides great, certainly doesn't have the loud sound I was looking for, especially when accelerating. Anyone have any experience with having the baffle removed from the thunderheaders ( 2 into 1 system with left-sided falsee).

Default RE: Thunderheaders

I have a Thunderheader on an 00 FLHT. No falsee but you can really hear the pipe when you get on it. I suggest you let someone else ride your bike and you ride behind and hear how it sounds to others. I would be really suprised if you wanted it louder. My stock bike was just right with the Thunderheader.
