Do it your self. It is no big deal. A little S&S. Splice and solder. About 3 hours and you can have it done.
make sure to use heat shrink after solder on splices.Little Tri flow sprayin bars to help pull wires through.
Getting to know your bike.
Run in to problems. Just ask here. There is plenty of HELP. Forum is loaded with help that is.

I put bars on my RC it took me two evenings (about 4 hours total) to do it. I have a friend thathad a set of t-bars put on his Dyna it cost him $700 and he already had the bars. I almost throw up I had know idea it cost so much to do this relatively simple job.

Should cost you around $1000-$1200 if you are going with Chrome everything and braided cables. Figure around 5 to 6 hours labor. That harness can eat up some time. $1500 sounds like a HD dealer.

I'd really like to add the Wild 1 517 bars to my RG. The purchase pricelooks pretty good , but OMG, the price at my local Harley Dealer to install seems pretty pricy. I was quoted around $1,500 (which would include cables). Yikes...
Does that seem right?!?!
Did they include the Bars in that quote?
Indianspringsaz is right, internal wiring, Magum/Diamondback braided cables and labor could cost around $1000-$1200 at a dealership. Personally, this is probably one of the best mods I made. They are higher, back farther, narrower, much more comfortable. Just finished a 2,500 mile ride. Rode tank-to-tank without a single ache.

I have also found the higher, narrower, farther back position to allow me to have much more ease and control doing slow manuvers. During slow manuvers do you find yourself having to reach way over and leaning forward in order to control the bike?
