I'd really like to add the Wild 1 517 bars to my RG. The purchase pricelooks pretty good , but OMG, the price at my local Harley Dealer to install seems pretty pricy. I was quoted around $1,500 (which would include cables). Yikes...
Does that seem right?!?!
Do you hear a sucking sound?!!!! Yes your being ripped off.
I just had Wild Ones put on my 07SG (you can see the picture of my bike in the SG picture section, last page), I had the wires run internal and both clutch and throttle were braided and extended. I dont have the bill in front of me but.....
Bars were around $225
Install was around $300

I was quoted $750 for a handlebar install and that included the $50 hanldebars, so $700 to do the install. This is why I choose a handlebar that didn't need to have it's cables changed and it still cost me $200 dollars. $50 for the handlebars and $150 to install them and run the internal wires. $200 was a lot betterthan $750
I got quotes for my bars with internal wiring and new cables and brake lines from the local HD shop and an Indie. The indie wanted $450 and HD wanted about $600(niether included parts). As far as I was concerned they both priced themselvs out of a job. I did it myself in about 12 hours total and I know it was done right. For all the parts I was out about $400 I think. Hold the project until winter and do it yourself.
Ya might want to re-think the WO517 and look at the WO513 (8 1\2" mini Apes)
Friend put on the 517's and now wishes he used the 513 as I did... The 517 seem to pull back a bit more but leaves your hands sitting a bit off....
I installed the 513 in about 2 hours and just had to make a few major bends on the ft master line - where he ended up changing the ft master line for fit (even though they say they would fit???)....
I thought about it on my 04 fxst a couple years ago and if my memory serves me right it was about $1K. This is from the highest priced dealer in the area, DallasHD on Centerville Rd. They have just about lost my business due to price gouging. I had some carb work done and argued them down on labor. I heard of another member that got his stealership down on labor. The way I figure all to gain and nothing to loose.
