03 Ultra Headlamp Bulb Replacement

03 Ultra Headlamp Bulb Replacement
What am I missing? Manual says to remove screw at bottom of trim ring and remove ring. I cannot get the trim ring off. Anyone have any suggestions? Trim ring will not come off with screw removed. Help???

If they have remained the same, you need to pry it from the bottom. Once you get it off, you will see the indent at the top where a clip snaps into place. Do not twist it, or you will get the clips inside the rimout of place (you'll see them once you get it off). You might want to try spraying around the edge with WD40 and see if that helps. It probably is slightly coroded and sticking to the headlight.

My '05 EGC has a seal around the inside of the trim ring, I assume your'smay bethe same. It fits tight, try slowly pulling harder from the bottom. Check for the clip that MNPGRider mentioned, you'll feel the same amount of resistance when you put the ring back on so don'tworry aboutpushing a little harder to seat it, just push evenly & make sure the screw hole lines up.

Finally got it. Had to pry it loose on the bottom. Rest of job was easy. Next step will be replacing headlamps with new style clear headlamps.
