Since you have a sg, I think your bike will look better with a chopped tourpack. That slick low look is what sets the sg apart from the eg, you wouldn't want to loose that look. Besides, since you will be towing a trailer, you will not need as much space in the trunk. I do think, however, that the king would be better for your passenger comfort. But, I still think that the chopped is better suited fior your ride, IMO.

Thanks for all the photos......... this forum is one heck of a good network tool. Does anyone have a photo of the King pack on an SG?????

My friends here is Seattle are busting my chops for need'n so much storage space (tour pack and a trailer) but I don't care. Some things are just the way they are cuz they are!

Another vote for the chopped, since you are pulling a trailer you dont need the capacity.

I have a 05 RK POE and got the chopped t/pac with QD mounts. Only use it when traveling. Wish I had bought the king pac holds much more stuff and I still would only use it when traveling, Go figure.

had both, the king holds more and will handle the weight of a rack, the chopped bottom is abs plastic and flexes too much with alot of weight in it, i have a chopped for solo riding, its sits forward over the fender and a king forwhen i talk the Gfwith me, which is never, so it collected alot of dust... i blew the bottom out of it onthe way to sturgis this summer, had to put a piece of angle inor under the rear of it to keep it from really comming apart, junked the base when i got home

Does someone make a bracket to mount the big tour pak a little lower? And, can you run one w/o the big armrest/backrest. Maybe just the smaller pad like the shorty one has. I just saw a pic of a blue E/Glide Std with the leather looking tourpac on another post. Looked very nice !!!
I do like the spoiler w/the LED lightbar in it. I would just have that as a brake light. It would get some attention.

What JC650 said " Chopped may look a little better but imo if youre gonna have a trunk might as well be the more useful one. My vote The King."

The chopped may "look" better but if your gonna have a tour pak you might as well have one that you can use. I use a tour pak liner as luggage and fill it full. Mine is also detachable and I only use it for trips. Also, the king will hold two full helmets that you can lock inside.

Amplifier and speaker pods by Dragonfly (6 1/2" speakers instead of stock 5 1/4") a little nicer mid-bass and I can hear it nicely doing 80.
