I broke down last night and needed a tow. What a pain. Appears my throttle cable broke (07 UC 7k miles) and it left me stranded on side of the interstate. I called the dealer but it was after hrs on a sat. Woman did answer though, she was working late. she informed me if I could get a tow, there was no way to get it inside of the building. I would have to get it towed home and then Monday get it towed back.Lucky I have a trailer and was 20 min away from home. I made arrangements to get my trailer and thats done.
Have any of you guys needed a tow and if so was any of it covered some how.
I have GEICO but do not have their tow coverage, which is very limited I just found out. they will tow up to 75 miles and will pay $75 toward the tow. geez..
My bike is still under warranty so I'm assuming I would have been reimbursed if I did get it towed.
I also have the extended service plan but they don't answer on the weekends. what a mess that was.
I'm just thankful I have a good wife that was home to help me out.
