yeah i like the tmax also, just want better mpg, but if i got my choice of more mpg and alot of popping(lean) i guess im just gonna have to run rich the 4.5 firmware didnt seem to do a whole lot for my bike, one thing i found to help decel pop is on every cruisingrpm afr page at 0 rpm start off at 11.5 afr and let it climb back to 13.8 very quicky so when the throttle is let off it gets a quick jolt of gas to stop the pop and as soon as you turn the throttle it leans back out.
Are you utilzing the decell fuel cutoff rpm low and the decell fuel cutoff rpm highfeature of the new firm ware? I set my low setting at 1280 rpm and the high setting at 3072 and I no longer have any decel popping.
This feature cuts off the fuel when you close the throttle at the high rpm you program in and the fuel cuts back inat the low rpm you program in. You'll find this feature under the Tuning maps heading then click on module configuration and then click on basic settings. You can then change the settings for the high and low rpm fuel cutoff to what ever rpms your bike startsand stops decel popping. Bike runs very strong.
It must take some time to get used to purposely typing and being seriousin a super-exaggerated Sourthern drawl.

Getting 32 mpg around town (35 mpg on highway)on a 103" with Zippers Hi Flow A/C, RH TD's with performance baffle, SE 50mm throttle body and SE Pro Twin Cam Heads at 12' ASL in VA Beach.
I get 48 mpg if I keep the bike around 60-65 mph otherwise it lowers to the low 40's. I'm still tweeking mine a bit to get the timing where I want it but she runs damn strong as is. Made the below numbers on the dyno too.
Just an update, I have put a couple hundred more miles since the Zippers tech tuned the bike in Daytona, still no pinging more power and MPG up to 39 now, setting out on a trip in the morning, Miami to Meancitycycles to Ft Bragg to Deals Gap back to Miami, 2200 miles or so. Will report performance when I get back. UltraKla$$ic the map is on the way tonight.
I am a bit bewildered on this issue. My stock 07 is averaging 42mpg at 75, closer to 44 at or below 70. It pulls really well, with no ping whatsoever even below 2000 rpm. Doesn't run hot enough to complain, though I did just add the midframe heat shields for good measure. It was built in June this year. I asked the service department at my dealer if they did any special work before delivery and they said no, and they can't anyway.
I am not inclined to touch the motor or exhaust system to increase performance for fear of screwing it up.[sm=Awwww.gif]
I've been getting 49.5 mpg on the highway, running stock with no issues or problems.
I still plan on Thundermax auto-tune, 2-1 pipes, and AN A/C sometime soon, so it sounds like I can expect a dramatic drop in gas mileage, huh?

Good to hear Jerry! If you get to it, thanks. If not, we can figure it out when you get back. Ride safe my friend!
