in the process of adding 18/21" pm contrast cut gasser w/ matching rotor's and pulley............everything is in, just have to find time to do it! can't wait, the 21" looks sick!!!!!
I love the 21/18 setup. Looks and rides great. Had the 360 on order, then started reading about all the problems. So I cancelled the order and switched to a PM6 single up front. No problems at all.
Does the stock front fender on the RK Classic have to be changed to run the 21" front wheel?
no, you can run the 21" under the stock fender. We just installed a 21/18 combo of our Afflictionwheels on a07 RK, just make sure you use a Metzeler zero grow tire. I have heard of some issues with the Avons. They can grow and rub a little if you get too much heat into them. The 21's will definately make you bike stand out from the rest of the crowd. dont waste you time and money with the 18 front wheel.
I had to install the Native Custom Baggers brackets in order to get the proper spacing with my front fender. Others have been able to elongate the rear mounting holes on a stock fender and not rub. I wasn't as lucky. I know of a couple of other on this forum that had a rubbing issue on stock fenders as well.
What model Metzler claims to be zero grow? Not sure how this is possible. I looked on the Metz site and didn't see anything, but their site is not that user friendly.
I WENT TO A SINGLE CALIPER WITH 18" 'S TO REALLY SHOW OFF THE FRONT END. HERE ARE A FEW PICTURES
The bike looks sweet. Why are you selling it? Just curious, not shopping. What I do want to know is what color is your bike? Looks to be black pearl. Is that right? The reason I ask, is because mine is and I was thinking of going with a contrast cut wheel, as well. Also thinking about black, or black pearl, powder coat for all of the chrome, except the engine area.I wonder how well that will look? Anyone seen it done in either black or some kind of black pearl? Would it be to much? My thought is to showcase the engine, surrounded by black pearl.
This is the wheel I was thinking about. Any thoughts on it?
Hey thats a nice wheel. A couple of accents with a casino theme and itd look sick. Before I bought my pewter denim street glide, I was so close to signing papers to a black pearl one. After a bunch of thoughts from me and my wife we really wanted to go with vivid black. Since I couldnt find that color I ended up with the pewter. I think that color wheel with contrast cuz would be sick. GO FOR IT.
