I had the dealer do mine. Cost $363 and that was with the elbow grease discount. This dealer charges $99/hr for labor and it took 1.5 hours to do it. They charged me MSRP for the part, $305. I know it cost me more than many of you but I am happy. I could have done it myself and saved a few bucks but not enough IMO. Maybe I'm just lazy.
Just curious if those of you that did your own install to you own a bike lift?
I'm in the DFW area and have a bike lift. I'm waiting to resolve a "bad casting" issue with the IDS bowl that was included in my kit. But, once I have installed my IDS, if anyone on the forum in the DFW area needs a lift, they can borrow mine.
F these dealers. I called my local dealer today as they are having a "special" going regarding the IDS. The dealer under this "special" wants $326.00 installed. I called the dealer and was told this "special" is good for Nov 15 thru Jan 15. Are you f'n kidding me? In the next weekwe will have a foot of snow. I told the dealer I was going to purchase theIDS off the web and asked how much labor. The dealer told me that they will not install it if I do not purchase it from them. What a bunch of sc*mbags.
