Default Single Rotor info

I'm looking at a 21" front wheel and leaving a stock 16" chrome 9 spoke on back.
I already have the back lowered 1" and will lower the front 1 to 1.5" as well.

On the 21", I would like to convert over to a single rotor. What all is involved?

Smooth Right Lower Leg
Plug off one line at the distribution block
Same size rotor or larger?
Can I use the stock caliper?

Any suggestions much appreciated.

I think going with a single rotor/caliper set up looks really good with custom wheels. However, I do not know if staying with a 16" rear and 21" front is such a good idea, as far as handling is concerned.IMO Also, you are right about the right leg. You could shave the caliper mount yourself, and chrome or powder coat them. Or buy it done already. Also, I have read that when going to a single rotor/caliper up front, you may not want to use the stock 4 piston caliper. I have read it is best to go with a 6 piston caliper and a 13" rotor (I believe). Some others that have actually done this should chime in with more knowledge on the subject than I have.

Going to a single caliper setup, plan on buying a new front brake complete from the master cylinder to the caliper. You should not try to rig your dual setup to work as a single, the bores are different.

Friend of mine did this on his Road King
Go to a 13" Rotor on the left side and a 6 piston caliper
And yes check the master cylinder bore requirement for six piston caliper

Lots of people leave the 16 inch rear tire on with a 21 inch front makes it look BADA$$ And I would say buy new fork lowers for single set up because they are different and it will look better anyway

I WENT WITH THE SAME SET UP. 18"'S FRONT AND BACK. I WENT WITH A 6 PISTON HHI FROM NATIVE CUSTOM BAGGERS. THE CALIPER IS AMAZING AND WILL STOP THE BIKE ON A DIME. YOU COULD SHAVE THE RIGHT SIDE MOUNT YOURSELF AND RE CHROME. I THINK A BETTER OPTION IS TO SELL YOUR FRONT LOWERS AND BUY SINGLE SIDED SET. IT WILL HELP TO OFF SET THE COST. PAUL OVER AT NCB HAS THEM ALSO. REALLY GOOD QUALITY CHROME!!! TAKE A LOOK AT MINE

This is a very common conversion, you should be able to get a "take off" right side lower leg from a dealer or swap meet, machine off the caliper mounts and have it chromed,I've used P/M six piston caliper, stock H-D single caliper master cylinder(also a take off) and most importantly a 13 inch rotor(also from P/M) and you'll need a custom brake line.

I am running a single stock rotor with a Jaybrake 6 piston caliper on my Road Glide. I have the stock lower legs and have not machined off the caliper mount from the right side. I'm actually making a plate that will cover the holes. The bike stops really well. A 13" rotor would probably stop a little better, but I would not say it's a requirement.

I don't think there is anyway to plug one side of the brake line distrbution block. Just buy a new brake line, they're cheap.
