Reach forward position seats are designed to move riders with shorter inseams closer to the controls and to bring the legs closer together so that feet rest firmly on the pavement. The scooped bucket-shape saddle is enhanced with added back support padding to move the rider approximately 1.5" lower and 1.5" forward. The combination positions the rider closer to the hand and foot controls to offer both comfort and confidence.

I tried one for about 10 miles and was so sore I could hardly sleep that night! Took it back to the dealer and got rid of it fast!
Send your seat to Mean City Cycles and let them do the same thing but the right way.....

I used a Reach seat for about 4 months this summer and it was not as comfortable as the stock seat to me, it was hard, but it didwhat it is meant to do, provided a better position for me and my short legs. I sent my stock seat off to MeanCityCycles and had Allen lower and move me forward plus adding a "pro pad" gel insert for me and double memory foam for the wife. Now I have my feet on the ground and all day comfort that cost me less than the Reach Seat. Also note the Reach Seat has a narrower passenger area.

I tried one for about ten minutes. It squeeshed my "boys" up against the front, and there was no room to shift around. I felt locked in! And, the shape of the seat reminded me of an old Spanish galleon sitting on top of my bike. It went back.....fast.
