Default '00 - '02 RK differences?

I'm going to be shopping for a '00 - '02 Road King for a 120" project bike and need to know if there's any difference between those years ie: the '01 and '02 Dynas have different swingarms...any such things to look out for in the RK's???

The different EFI systems should not be a probloem if you are doing a 120" project. If you plan on keeping the front brakes stock there was a change from 1 to 2 piston calipers in 01 or 02. The rear axel on an 02 was up graded to a 1" axel. That al I can think of right now. Good luck.

Big differences. You can upgrade if the price is right on that FL = or under 2001 very cheaply. I am doing one right now. You might also take a peak at this (my) web site page. Make sure you click into the link(s) below http://motorcyclemetal.com/gpage3.html Check out the different swing arms between the actual photo and the later 2002 & above drawing. Anything I can help you with give me a PM or call toll free from the contact page. Good luck.

I bought a 01 and e-Bayed everything except the front frame, title, and a few fittings. everything else is different. S&S 124ci, 6 speed, carbon fiber wheels, lots of carbon fiber body parts that nobody has seen yet, and an inverted front end with much different steering geometry. I have used all these pieces together an several projects but now we are rolling the best all into one.
