Default pipe help!

I want to replace my stock pipes on my 2006 Road King. I want something that sounds good but NOT real loud. I also like the look of the fishtail tips on the pipes. Any suggestions? Will I need to do a stage 1 if I replace my stock with after market pipes? Will I need anything else?

First, try the search function at the top of the page. Pipe questions have been asked a lot, and there is a ton of info. The best advice is to go to a dealer on the weekend, or a bike night and listen to the other bikes. Find one you like, and ask the owner. Pipes are a real personal decision, and anyone that gives an opinion on to what they like, may not suit you. Best to hear them yourself. But, if you don't want loud, stay away from straight pipes (without baffles). I have them, and they are really loud, but that is what I like.

If you are only changing the slip ons, you will not need a stage 1, but most will tell you to do it anyway. Again, personal choice.

Fishtails & Sharktails normally are LOUDER then most other slip-ons...

You might check out the Classifieds here as there are normally a few prs for sale there...
Here's a great deal... Louder then OEM but not Killer Loud... https://www.hdforums.com/m_2370757/tm.htm And the Price is Right!!!

And as PapaTravis recommended - Try a search... There are hours of reading about exhaust\slip-ons
